Ballechin 15 Year Old Batch 1 (70cl, 59.4%)

Ballechin 15 Year Old Batch 1 is a peated single malt from Edradour, bottled at 59.4% in a 70cl bottle. The peated style is sold as Ballechin, since the original Ballechin distillery no longer exists. Edradour is in the Highlands, near Moulin and a few miles west of Pitlochry. It is believed to have been founded in 1825 and is the only Scottish distillery still kept entirely in the style of a farmhouse operation. Two stills once produced only 15 casks a week, and capacity now stands at around 500,000 litres of pure alcohol a year following an expansion in February 2018.
