This is a 2007 Ballechin from the Straight From The Cask series, bottled at 57.5% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It comes from casks numbered 199, 200 and 203. Ballechin is the peated version of Edradour, sold under this name because the original Ballechin distillery no longer exists. Edradour stands a few miles west of Pitlochry, near Moulin, in the Highlands. It is believed to have been founded in 1825 and is the only Scottish distillery still run entirely in the style of a farmhouse operation.
