Balvenie 12 Year Old The Sweet Toast of American Oak is a single malt from the Dufftown distillery that William Grant built in 1892. The spirit is first aged in former bourbon casks, then finished in virgin American oak barrels brought from Kentucky and given a deeper than usual toast.
It is described as intensely oaky and rich in vanilla, with strong notes of maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, burnt wood, candied orange, toffee and nutmeg.
