The Balvenie Madeira Cask is a 15 year old single malt from the Dufftown distillery William Grant built in 1892. It spent fifteen years in traditional American oak barrels, which bring layers of honey and vanilla, before a finish in casks that previously held Madeira wine.
The Madeira finish adds fresh peach, orange zest and hazelnut to the distillery's honeyed character, alongside toffee and a hint of fruit. The finish is warm and lingering.
