Balvenie – 16 Year Old French Oak Finished in Pineau Casks (70cl)

This is Balvenie 16 Year Old, a Speyside single malt finished in Pineau casks, in a 70cl bottle. It spent 16 years maturing in traditional American oak whisky barrels before a finishing period in Pineau des Charentes French oak casks. The American oak gives warm honey and vanilla, and the finish in Pineau casks adds velvety sweetness with notes of grapefruit, geranium, glazed fruit and ginger.
