Pedro Ximénez sherry finish
This is an 18 year old single malt from Balvenie in Dufftown, aged in American oak and then finished in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry. Balvenie was built by William Grant in 1892 and shares the Robbie Dhu springs with its neighbour Glenfiddich. It is one of the few Scotch distilleries with its own floor maltings. The nose is typically described as dried figs, raisins and dark cherries with lavender and mandarin peel. The palate brings dates, stewed plums, fruitcake, toffee and vanilla, and the finish is long and gently drying, with dark fruit, cocoa and sherry sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
