Balvenie – 19 Years Sherry Cask (70cl, 47.5%)

Balvenie 19 Years Sherry Cask is a single malt from the Stories series, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle. The release, A Revelation of Cask and Character, looks at the coopers' skills and the part casks play in the whisky. It is matured for 19 years in European sherry oak. The nose is intense and complex, with spice, old leather, raisins and lavender. The palate starts firmly with spice and pepper, then turns creamy and fruity with orange, dried fruit, plums, dark chocolate, nuts and oak. The finish is medium in length, with wax, tobacco and rose water.
