This is Balvenie 20 Year Old from the Curious Casks Collection, a limited edition peated single malt. The spirit was distilled during the distillery's annual Week of Peat, and it is the oldest peated Balvenie expression to date.
It matured first in American oak, then was finished in European oak sherry butts, and is bottled at 47.7% ABV.
The palate shows sweet peat, floral smoke and a rich complexity.
