Blue Run High Rye Bourbon (75cl)

This is a small-batch bourbon from the Blue Run range, in a 75cl bottle. It is made from barrels distilled for Blue Run at Castle & Key Distillery by a Bourbon Hall of Famer. The mash bill has a higher proportion of rye, which adds peppery, savoury spice to the sweeter base flavours of a traditional bourbon. The nose offers pralines and orange peel, with hints of bright cherry and tobacco. On the palate come brown sugar and nuttiness, a little white pepper, then stone fruit and dried apricot. The long finish brings herbal white tea, peach and clove.
