A small-batch bourbon distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, then finished in Buellton, California, and bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 60% corn, 30% rye and 10% malted barley, aged for a minimum of five years in new, deeply charred American oak barrels.
Only eight barrels, hand-selected by the Master Distiller, go into each batch. It won a Double Gold medal at the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose is vanilla, caramel corn, toasted coconut and a little grapefruit. The palate has taffy, nougat, graham cracker, pepper and tropical fruit jam. The finish is medium-long, with charred oak, caramel, peach and a faint menthol coolness.
