Brother's Bond Bourbon is a four-grain straight bourbon, bottled at 40% (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The whiskey comes from MGP in Indiana and ages for a minimum of four years in new charred American oak.
The mashbill is 65% corn, 22% rye, and 13% wheat and malted barley. Distillation is through a copper column still and a copper pot doubler.
The nose is baked banana bread and ripe tree fruit, with walnuts, orange honey and warm rye spice. The palate is soft, with toasted grain and honeysuckle, then dried fruit, caramel, marzipan and black tea. The finish is medium, with fresh-cut oak, vanilla and a dry warmth.
