Octomore 15.2 is a cask-strength Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 57.9% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2018 from Scottish Mainland Concerto barley and peated to 108.2 PPM.
The spirit matured for five years in second-fill wine and bourbon casks, then was finished in first-fill Cognac casks, a first for the Octomore series.
The nose combines sand, sweet citrus, lime zest and lemon meringue pie over toasted oak and earthy smoke. The palate offers vanilla custard, caramel, black pepper, cinnamon, mango, apricot and grilled pineapple. The finish is long, with sea salt, peat embers, citrus peel and gentle spice.
