An unpeated Islay single malt, matured for eighteen years and bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the first 18-year-old from Bruichladdich distilled entirely from locally grown Islay barley since the distillery reopened. Maturation was mainly in ex-bourbon casks, with smaller parcels in Sauternes and Port casks. It is bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. The nose combines honey-roasted cereal, vanilla, baked bread and creamed coconut with green apple, apricot and guava. The palate is full and thick, with butterscotch, cinnamon, clove and a touch of salinity. The finish is long and warming, with orange, melon and ginger.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
