Bulleit – 90 Frontier (70cl, 45%)

Bulleit 90 Frontier is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45%, which is 90 proof, as the name indicates. The mash bill is 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, and the high rye content gives it a spicy character. It matures entirely in new American white oak barrels, charred to level 4 on the inner walls and level 2 on the barrel heads. Special yeast strains and limestone-filtered Kentucky water are part of the recipe. It has no added colour. The nose combines smoke, wood and a little spice with sweet oak and fine vanilla. The palate is soft, with maple, oak, nutmeg and rye and a light toffee note. The finish is long, dry and velvety.
