Bushmills 21 Years Old (70cl, 40%)

Bushmills 21 Years Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, chill-filtered and with added colouring. The whiskeys first mature separately for at least 19 years in selected former Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels. After vatting they spend two more years in Madeira casks, which deepens the notes of ripe fruit and raisins. It is bottled in a limited number, and each bottle is individually numbered. The nose combines honey, ripe fruit and sweet hazelnuts. Raisins, dark chocolate, vanilla and toasted wood come through on the palate. The finish is long and fine, with vanilla and a restrained raisin sweetness.
