Bushmills Black Bush (1L, 40%)

Black Bush is a blended Irish whiskey from Bushmills, in a one litre bottle. The blend is 80% single malt and 20% lighter grain whiskey, and the malt is triple distilled. It matures in former Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. The sherry casks bring dried fruit, raisins and nutty tones, with chocolate and cinnamon alongside vanilla, honey and caramel. It is bottled at 40%. The nose combines pronounced sherry sweetness and raisins with fruit cake, vanilla, honey and fresh fruit. The palate is silky and nutty, with dark chocolate, raisins, figs, dates, caramel sweetness and a little cinnamon. The finish is long and soft, with lasting sweetness, oak, caramel and light spice.
