Bushmills Steamship Rum Cask (70cl, 40%)

Bushmills Steamship Rum Cask, also called the Rum Cask Reserve, is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from the Steamship Collection. It matured in first-fill Caribbean rum casks and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The collection was created for the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills' maiden voyage in 1890. This edition, released in 2018, takes its cue from a stop in St Vincent, where the ship took on rum for the journey home. The nose is sweet pineapple and mango, with honeyed fruit and fudge. The palate is rich and creamy, with toffee, light oak, tropical fruit and gentle spice. The finish is long and soft, with oak, vanilla and creamy toffee.
