Canadian Club is a blended Canadian whisky made at the Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery in Windsor, Ontario, in a large 3 litre bottle. It is the flagship expression, often known as 1858.
The whisky is made from corn, rye, rye malt and barley malt, and aged in white oak American bourbon barrels.
The nose is fresh and soft, with mild almond, sweet vanilla and a hint of peppery rye. The palate opens zesty and slightly spicy with a clear rye character, then softens to vanilla, oak and caramel. The finish is clean, dry and fairly short, with gentle warmth.
