A red wine from Puglia made from the native Nero di Troia grape, produced by Torrevento near Castel del Monte. It has an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections that deepen with age. The nose offers ripe red berries, spicy and balsamic notes, tobacco and vanilla from wood ageing. On the palate it is robust and well balanced, with integrated acidity and tannins, freshness and a very long finish. It is suited to red meats, game and aged cheeses, and is best served at 18 to 20 degrees. It can develop further with bottle ageing.
