Connemara Distillers Edition (70cl, 43%)

Connemara Distillers Edition is a peated Irish single malt, distilled at Cooley Distillery and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Peat is uncommon among Irish single malts, and here it gives a distinct but elegant smoke. The nose brings smoke, wet grass, honey and malt, with a fresh, almost maritime note. The palate is full and balanced, with soft peat smoke, vanilla, citrus, light spice and a creamy malt base. The finish is medium to long and smoky, without turning sharp or medicinal.
