Dalmore – King Alexander III (70cl, 40%)

Dalmore King Alexander III is a malt whisky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, blended by Dalmore's master distiller from whiskies of different ages. The spirits were matured in several kinds of cask, including French wine casks, Madeira, sherry, Marsala, port and bourbon. The edition commemorates Alexander III of Scotland, who was saved by Clan MacKenzie from a stag's attack, and the bottle carries a metal emblem of the Dalmore stag with twelve points. The nose offers chocolate, nuts, caramel, spiced raisin and mostly vanilla. The palate is sweet with prominent fruit, mainly sweet orange and ripe raspberry, and the finish is spiced oak and liquorice.
