A straight rye whiskey aged for two years, distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled in Kentucky at 50.5% in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and the spirit was matured in newly charred American oak before being bottled without chill filtration.
The name comes from the 1939 International Harvester bus owned by Ken Kesey and driven by Neal Cassady on the Merry Pranksters' journeys in the 1960s.
Dill and green apple lead the nose, with baking spice behind. The palate is peppery and assertive, softened by caramel and vanilla, and the finish is long and slightly oily, with black pepper and baking spice.
