George Dickel Bottled in Bond is a Tennessee whisky bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It is made at Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
The mashbill is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. The spirit is distilled to 135 proof, then chilled to 40°F and steeped in sugar maple charcoal vats, Dickel's chill charcoal mellowing. As a bottled-in-bond whisky it comes from a single distillery and a single distilling season, and is aged at least four years in a bonded warehouse.
Butterscotch, honey and caramel lead the nose. The palate is full-bodied, with burnt caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spice, and the finish is medium to long and earthy, with toffee and a little black liquorice.
