A six-year-old bourbon from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, distilled at Ross & Squibb Distillery, formerly known as MGP. It is bottled at 54.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The mashbill pushes rye to 39%, with a further 10% malted rye, while keeping to the 51% corn minimum that bourbon requires. The whisky was matured for six years in new charred oak barrels and bottled at barrel proof.
The nose offers fruit syrup, maple and caramel, with mint, cinnamon, fig and saddle leather developing. On the palate come candied fruit, cream, honey and rye heat, and the long finish carries cinnamon, nutmeg, dried fruit and oak.
