Rossville Union Bottled in Bond 6 Year Rye (75cl, 50%)

Rossville Union Bottled in Bond 6 Year Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled at Ross & Squibb Distillery in March 2017 and matured for six years. The mashbill is 51% rye and 49% malted barley, a recipe MGP created for this bottling, and the whiskey meets the bottled-in-bond requirements. Cedar and spearmint lead the nose, with vanilla, dried cranberries and baked notes of banana bread. The palate is sweet and fruity, with stone fruit, apple and apricot, then cinnamon, black pepper, spearmint, toffee and caramel. The finish is medium to long, with oak tannins, cinnamon and a cool hint of mint.
