Penelope Four Grain is a straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It was distilled at the Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
The whisky is blended from three mash bills that together use corn, rye, wheat and malted barley. It matures for a minimum of 36 months in new American oak barrels and is bottled non-chill filtered.
The nose brings apricot, peach and mango with vanilla and caramel. On the palate come butterscotch and honey, then nectarine and cantaloupe. The finish is medium, with buttercream frosting and warm cornbread.
