Penelope Barrel Strength Bourbon (75cl, 57.6%)

Penelope Barrel Strength is a four-grain bourbon bottled uncut and without chill filtration at 57.6% in a 750ml bottle. It blends three bourbon mash bills, including wheat-forward and rye-forward recipes, each aged separately in new American oak barrels before being married together. The blend averages roughly 80% corn, 7% rye, 7% wheat and 6% malted barley. The nose offers caramel, maple syrup and butterscotch, with orange peel and a little barrel char. On the palate come caramel syrup, brown sugar and crème brûlée, then cinnamon and charred oak. The finish is long and spicy, with maple, oak and dried fruit.
