This is a 12 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 46% ABV. It was named World's Best Single Malt at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards.
The whisky is matured in a mix of PX sherry, Oloroso sherry, red wine and virgin oak casks, a combination that reflects Billy Walker's focus on wood management.
The nose is of dark chocolate, treacle and heather honey, with cinnamon, espresso and raisins. On the palate come marzipan and orchard fruits, then mocha, butterscotch and nutmeg, full-bodied yet well balanced.
