Glencarrick 10-year-old is a small batch single malt bottled at 46% as part of Claxton's Core Range. The name belongs to a Lowland distillery that closed long ago, whose ruins lie just north of the Dalswinton Estate, beside the Carricks Leap waterfall.
The whisky was matured in sherry and ex-Islay whisky casks, in a style modelled on a historic Lowland Scotch. It is typically described as having cooked apples, rich spices, marzipan and carob.
