Gonzalez Byass Solera 1847 Cream Sherry (37.5cl)

Solera 1847 is an 8 year old Cream sherry from Gonzalez Byass, in a 37.5cl bottle. It is made from 75% Palomino and 25% Pedro Ximénez, and the Pedro Ximénez gives it a dark mahogany colour. The nose has raisins, vanilla, oak and slight hints of hazelnut. The palate is delicate and smooth, with a reminder of dates and raisins, and it finishes with caramel, oak and a little nuttiness. It works as an aperitif with cheese, or as a dessert wine with vanilla ice cream, fruit salad or apple pie.
