Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva PX is a Spanish Brandy de Jerez from González Byass, made in the Sherry Triangle around Jerez de la Frontera. The base spirit is distilled from Palomino Fino wine.
The brandy is aged in a solera system, where younger and older brandies are blended fractionally through a network of barrels. The final stage takes place in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry, adding sweetness, dried fruit and a velvety texture.
The nose offers raisins, figs and prunes with oak spice, toasted walnut and vanilla. The palate is medium to full-bodied and sweet, with raisin, molasses, caramel, toffee and leather. The finish is long, with dried fruit warmth and gentle oak spice.
