Green Spot Chateau Montelena is a single pot still Irish whiskey finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel casks from Chateau Montelena in Napa Valley, California. It is a special edition that brings together the Mitchell family of Dublin, trading on Grafton Street since 1805, and the Californian winery. Green Spot was first produced for the Mitchells, who from 1887 sent empty wine, sherry and port casks to the Jameson distillery to be filled and returned to their cellar to mature in bond. Crisp oak meets vanilla, white chocolate and marshmallow, alongside the red apples and ripe pears of Green Spot. Pomegranate, cranberry and maraschino cherry come from the wine cask.
