This is a 10 Year Old Sercial from Henriques & Henriques on the island of Madeira. The house farms 11 hectares of white grapes only, and repairs its old casks and builds new ones in its own cooperage, placing banana leaves between the staves.
The colour has darkened a little over the years, but the wine keeps freshness and body. Its main feature is a hazelnut aroma. It is served chilled as an aperitif.
