High Coast Hav is a Swedish single malt, bottled at 48% ABV in a 700ml bottle. The name means sea, after the place where the river Ångermanälven meets the ocean.
It comes from High Coast Distillery in the Höga Kusten region of Norrland, northern Sweden, where icy winters and warm summers shape the maturation and bring intensive interaction with the oak.
Oak and spice lead the nose, with a light sea-breeze freshness. The palate is rich and robust, balancing oak and spice, and the finish is long with a warm, spicy aftertaste.
