Highland Park 12 Year Old is the core expression of the distillery and an example of Orkney whisky. It is a single malt matured in European oak sherry casks, which add depth and complexity.
Dried fruit, honey and light peat smoke lead on the nose. The palate is smooth and balanced, with sweet malt, orange and a slight maritime influence, while the peat stays subtle and adds a pleasant smoky touch.
The finish is long and warming, with spice and oak.
