Highland Park – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Highland Park 12 Year Old is a single malt from Orkney and the core expression of the distillery's range. It was the first Highland Park single malt to be bottled by the distillery itself, in 1979. It is a glowing amber whisky. The nose shows heather-honey sweetness followed by fruit such as pineapple, apple or pear, and the palate is drying with a gentle smokiness. In the tasting notes, peaty smoke sits alongside the honey on the nose, while the palate combines rounded smoky sweetness with a full malt character. The finish is heathery, with subtle smoke.
