Highland Park 12 Years Old is a single malt from Orkney, matured in first-fill sherry casks of European and American oak, with some refill casks added to round it off. Its golden amber colour comes entirely from the maturation. The 12 Years Old has been made since the 1970s.
The nose is clean and fresh, with a delicate floral note, sweet spice, citrus and gentle heather-peat smoke. On the palate come warm honey, orange peel, fine spices and a touch of smoke, leading to a long finish of pepper and subtle wood.
