Highland Park 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall on Orkney, which was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson and is the northernmost distillery in Scotland. It is matured entirely in sherry casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without added colour.
The nose balances gentle smoke, sweetness and heather, with hints of sherry. The palate is a round, lightly smoky sweetness with full malt character. The finish is subtle, with heather lingering afterwards.
