Highland Park – 14 Year Old 2007/2022 The Octave (Duncan Taylor) (70cl, 55.3%)

This is a 14 year old Highland Park single malt from Orkney, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2022 by Duncan Taylor for the German market. It is bottle 13 of 85, at 55.3% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for 14 years in oak casks, then spent five months in an Oloroso sherry octave for a finish. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. In the tasting notes, the nose brings honey, orange and tea. The palate has hints of sherry, milk chocolate and peppered steak. The finish is long and spicy.
