Highland Park 15 Year Old 'Viking Heart' is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Highland Park Distillery in the Orkney Islands, in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured mainly in first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak casks, together with first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks. The result combines warm spice, sweet vanilla and bright citrus with the aromatic smoke of heather peat.
The nose is usually described as crème brûlée, heather honey, cinnamon, fresh pineapple and lemon zest over soft peat smoke. The palate brings sponge cake, vanilla, toasted cinnamon and citrus, and the mellow finish runs medium to long with peat smoke, vanilla and oak spice.
