Highland Park – 15 Years Viking Heart (70cl, 44%)

This is a 15-year-old single malt from Highland Park, bottled at 44% in a ceramic bottle. The distillery was founded in 1798 on Orkney and is one of the oldest still working in Scotland. This Viking Heart bottling was matured largely in first-fill sherry casks of European and American oak, with some refill casks adding lightly fruity tones. The character is described as warm, spicy and soft, with a hint of vanilla and crème brûlée. The ceramic bottle was developed with the British ceramics specialist Wade.
