Sea of Orkney is a 16-year-old single malt from Highland Park, distilled in Kirkwall on Orkney, bottled at 44.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is chill-filtered and has a natural deep amber colour with no added colouring. The whisky was assembled from first-fill casks of sherry-seasoned European oak, refill casks and sherry-seasoned American oak. Together they bring fruit, spice and soft vanilla. The nose offers dried apricots and figs with heather, a little vanilla and finely ground almonds, with a gentle hint of smoke behind. On the palate nutmeg meets vanilla, dark chocolate and restrained oak in a velvety texture. The long finish has brown sugar, almonds and cocoa, with a touch of peat smoke and a faint salty trace.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
