Highland Park 17 Year Old Between You and I - 1st Fill French Oak Red Wine Casks (70cl, 48%)

Between You and I is a 17 year old Highland Park single malt made for travel retail, developed together with Björn Frantzén. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. First-fill French oak casks that previously held red wine form the core of the composition. American oak casks that held sherry and refill casks complete the mix. Highland Park describes the result as rich, fruity, complex and balanced. On the nose there are roasted hazelnuts and dark berries with vanilla and heather honey. The palate brings caramel, orange peel and dried fruit with a little smoke, and the long finish leans on oak spice and sweet peat.
