This is an 18 year old Highland Park from Orkney, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2024 by the independent bottler Murray McDavid as part of its Mission Gold series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 57.2% ABV.
The whisky matured in Oloroso sherry octaves, and 271 bottles were filled from casks 2310056 to 2310058. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose offers dried fruit, spice and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-bodied, with sherry, vanilla, orange and a touch of leather. The finish is long, with warm spice and a little oak.
