This is a 20 year old Highland Park from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range. It was distilled in 2005, matured in a refill sherry butt and bottled in 2025 at 59.7% ABV, giving an outturn of 632 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Highland Park, founded in 1798, is the northernmost distillery in Scotland.
The nose offers dried fruit, spicy oak and a hint of smoke. The palate is full and complex, with sweet sherry notes, ripe plums and a light smokiness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and a touch of citrus.
