Highland Park 25 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, in a 75cl bottle. It was matured for a minimum of 25 years, with a high proportion of the whisky held in first-fill European oak casks that were sherry-seasoned.
It is a deep reddish-gold amber with a full-bodied mouthfeel. The nose combines dried fruits, dark chocolate, heather honey, soft peat smoke, fudge and oak spice. On the palate come dark fruits, honeyed malt, orange zest, nutmeg, cinnamon and a little maritime peat. The finish is very long and warm, with dried fruit, toasted oak and gentle heather smoke.
