Highland Park 25 Years is a single malt from Orkney, offered here in its 2022 release at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition, matured mostly in first-fill sherry casks, and it is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.
The nose is dark oak with a little chocolate and a generous amount of butter toffee. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with plenty of honey and caramel over a light layer of smoke. The finish is very long and slightly creamy, closing on a balanced sweetness.
