Highland Park 30 Years is a single malt from Orkney, matured for three decades in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. This is the earlier 2013 version, bottled at 45.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose has a touch of smoke with spices, nutmeg, liquorice and dark chocolate. On the palate it is silky and creamy, with caramel and fine sherry notes, dark chocolate, oranges and very light peat smoke. The finish is extremely long, with sweetness and spice.
