This is Highland Park Cask Strength Heather, a single malt Scotch whisky from Orkney. It is bottled at cask strength, 63.6% ABV, without added water, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is full and aromatic, with heather honey, peat smoke, vanilla, citrus oil and lightly toasted oak. On the palate come caramelised honey, dried fruit, spiced oak, ginger and black pepper alongside heathery peat. The finish is long and warm, with smoke, spice, a little bitter cocoa and sweet malt.
