The whisky was matured mainly in American sherry casks of differing ages.
The nose is sweet and smoky, with violets, vanilla pods and aromatic peat smoke. The palate is rich and full, with toffee, heather honey, nutmeg and citrus fruit. The finish is long, with crème brûlée and exotic spices.
